Autumn is in full swing in the PNW and it just so happens to be my favorite season EVAR. Having grown up in Texas, autumn isn't really a thing so getting to experience it for the first time up in Washington is just the best. The colors of the trees, crisp air, and the fashion obviously. Here are just a couple of my favorite fall fashion trends. Emerald green // monochromatic Emerald green is a prominent color this fall as is monochromatic outfits. I always steered away from green as a ginger because it made me feel like a leprechaun but now I embrace it! Silky slip dresses // bell sleeve sweaters Yet again pairing two fall favorites in one outfit. I think my absolute favorite trend this season is layering a cozy sweater over a slip dress; simple and still warm. Topping this look off with a bit of athleisure in Reebok sneakers.

If you've seen any of my other posts thus far, you've likely realized that I have a love for vintage and vintage-inspired fashion. I took that love and styled this photoshoot with the dreamiest team! Jason Henderson has quickly become one of my favorite film photographers to work with here in Seattle, and he captured this themed shoot better than I could have imaged. Allisha Carlsrud completely perfected the hair and makeup for these looks, and Eleanor King was such a lovely model to work with. Over my years of modeling, I've typically been the one that coordinates my wardrobe. This was the first shoot where my role was to be the sole stylist, and I was super nervous that it wouldn't turn out how I envisioned. Instead, this entire shoot turned out better than I could have anticipated! Everything was simply perfect and I couldn't be more proud.
Bisous, Devin When my husband and I moved to Seattle from Austin at the beginning of 2018, one of the things I was most excited about was being closer to all of the beauty the PNW has to offer (AKA new epic shoot locations). Austin is a cute city, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't offer anything near what the PNW does as far as mountains, waterfalls, vegetation, and even indoor locations. Shortly after moving here, my roommates and I planned a trip to Vashon Island where we spent a photo day at an incredible green house. This day was fun not only because of our amazing location, but since the three of us are all models and photographers, we were all taking photos and posing for each other. We all had different perspectives and ideas on how to shoot the space, a different take on wardrobe, but shared the same goal to create something we'd be proud of. These photos were taken by Amber and styled by me! Amber is by far one of my favorite fellow modelographers to work with, and I'm lucky to call her one of my dearest friends. Here are a few shots I took of Amber. Bisous, Devin
Oh look, another fashion blog! I had intended to start this blog years ago but figured I had nothing unique to offer in an already saturated market. So how will I stand out? Here I hope to share with you my love for vintage fashion, current trends while being wallet-friendly and eco-conscious, the occasional splurge on pricier items, and designs I make myself. I work in fashion for a super huge company, but here I plan to share what inspires me as an individual. Fashion is so much more than just buying "what's trendy" right now. Fashion helps us feel good and exude confidence, fashion is history and changes with the context we're living in, fashion is a form of expression and art. I've always had a bit of a struggle with my love for fashion - it's not always a pretty industry and it has caused a lot of harm to our planet and its people (watch True Cost and RiverBlue if you don't know what I'm talking about). A love for fashion is typically associate with a need for consumption, but it doesn't have to be this way. This vintage dress previously belonged to my grandmother. When she passed away in 2017, I inherited it along with some other beautiful unique pieces. This dress had some damage to it but it fit so perfectly and was so special that I carefully fixed everything by hand. I've never felt so elegant in a dress as I do in this one.
