When I'm looking for new lingerie to add to my collection, my eye goes straight to pieces with bold details, lace mixed with mesh, or styles that just aren't practical for daily use. Sure, I have special occasion pieces that I collect as well, but what I really try to focus on is something practical that can be worn daily to work that is also gorgeous and makes me feel good. This Natori Flora bra is literally that and I am in love! I've lost track of how many nude bras I've tried on where the fabric is uncomfortable, the wires show through my dress or shirt, and the fit is just awful. The Flora bra solves all these problems. It's so comfortable I can't even feel the underwire (I enjoy an underwear purely for shape even though I am smaller), and even with the lace detailing, it's not visible through clothing. I love how thin the padding is and how feminine it feels. This set is a bit on the pricey end, but I'm the person that's willing to invest in the perfect lingerie that will be worn wear regularly. 10/10 recommend this set and I want all the colors! The floral robe is from Nordstrom. Unfortunately I can't find it on their site - I'm sorry! Bisous, Devin

Fall is just ten days away but if you live in the PNW like I do, it arrived practically overnight this week. 'Tis indeed my favorite season! This lingerie set by Megan Summerville was one of the very first lingerie sets I ever got. Bespoke, Austin local, and female-made lingerie - I was spoiled from the beginning and this is where my love for lingerie all began.
These lovely images are by the amazing Reed! I always love working with fellow female modelographers and this gal is crazy talented. Bisous, Devin PS - peonies are my favorite flower! "Les Caresses des Yeux" is a French poem by Auguste Angellier. It could be translated into "the Caresses of the Eyes" - the feeling of touching just by looking. I like to think of lingerie as a tool of empowerment. It doesn't necessarily need to be touched, or to be taken off to enjoy. It's a pleasure to the eye before anything else; a pleasure of sight. Anyone can feel themselves be empowered by the clothes they decide to wear, but lingerie is more than just body confidence. It is first and foremost an invitation to push the limits of your own self. I dare you to put on lingerie and not feel like you are carrying a secret weapon! This simple and inexpensive lingerie set undoubtably had me feeling beyond confident (which believe it or not is a rare feeling for me). I found my robe the very first time I went to Paris to meet my now husband at Etam. It was a few years ago now but a similar one can be found here. The black lace bodysuit was a gift from my dear friend Amber and is from Zaful. They have tons that can be found here! Now get on with your bad self and get to feelin' sexy! Hi hello - welcome to my first blog post! If I had to give the reason why I decided start this blog, it is simply because I adore fashion - but most of all, I love lingerie. And no, I’m not talking about the garbage you see slapped on Victoria’s Secret ads of what they call “the perfect bra” on the “perfect body.” The mainstream marketing of the lingerie industry leads us to believe that lingerie’s only purpose is to please your man. No. Just stop right there. One of the things I love most about lingerie is that it's an art form of its own. The delicate laces and luxurious feel of fine fabrics on your skin feels like heaven. Not only that, but it exudes empowerment and confidence when we wear it. Fashion isn’t new on anyone’s radar. And the way I see it is: fashion is for everyone. Every culture from all over the world has some sort of root in the art of fashion. This goes for lingerie as well. Lingerie, unlike fashion, has no limitations; you can be as creative during the day wearing it under your clothes the world sees just as you can during the night. You can do it for your own desire, or for someone else. It serves a function as well as a creative expression. Ever since I was a teen I suffered from body dysmorphic disorder (and still am). I started modeling when I was 18 to try and change the way I perceived myself to a more positive view. While this did help some, I would always revert to thoughts such as "I look good here because of Photoshop" or "Oh, I'm hiding my stomach so you can't see the part of my body I hate most." I became fixated on what I hated most about my body. I would skip meals, obsessively work out, fish for compliments and it still was never enough. It took me a very, very long time to realize this is not a healthy way to live my life. When I find that perfect piece or set of lingerie, many of those toxic thoughts I have about myself dissipate. I look at my collection, albeit very small right now, and I’m reminded that this is for me (and sometimes my husband) - not everyone else. I hope that sharing this intimacy will inspire you in some shape or form. Until then, I’d like to share what is my current favorite lingerie set: The Dita Von Teese Madame X set. I actually bought this set as my bridal set but here I paired it with a Free People dress worn as a robe! Bisous, Devin Digital & film photos by Jason Henderson @jwhenderson
