 My interest in photography began while I was in high school. I took a photography class because it was a "blow off" class and essentially a free credit towards graduating. My teacher was terrible, uninterested in teaching the criteria, and in a constant state of annoyance. Regardless I fell in love with this visual art and created the cheesiest, Photoshopped images every emo high school kid dreamed of .   In my senior year of high school, I was gifted my first Polaroid and that is when I became infatuated with film. However I drifted away from photography many times over the years by being distracted by other forms of art - music production, modeling, fire dancing, you name it. But I always came back to photography. I think everyone has a very interesting relationship with the arts. There is the constant art that walks next to you all of your life, art that comes and goes like a confusing relationship that you don't want to end, and arts that you practice for a while and just fully stop (believe it or not, I was playing five instruments at one point but gave it all up and switched gears). But taking photographs was always an art that stood by me ever since I discovered it. Film, digital, old dusty cameras that really didn't even work, Polaroids, you name it.   I am specifically interested in fashion, portrait, and landscape photography. Pretty much my entire background is fashion and portrait but after moving to the PNW, I crave taking photos of nature more and more. I think what I love most about photography is that you can create on one single image that may speak a thousand words.
